I know they are supposed to be the "bad good guys".. but seriously, I have a thing for them. I love their dynamics. You can't help but like Aro, even though he's a shady bastard. Even through book form, he has such Charisma. I really like Jane.. even though I know you're not supposed to. She's one bad ass little Vampie girl. She has one of the coolest "gifts" in the Vampie world. Of course I rooted for the good guys through New Moon & Breaking Dawn, but the evil sadistic part of me couldn't help but secretly cheer for the Volturi & almost hoped they won. How horrible am I?

No, not horrible. Like Edward says, the Volturi are only made out to be the bad guys BY the bad guys. I think that without the Volturi, the way of life for vampires would either cease to exist or overpopulate the world. The Volturil provide the nice balance they need.
Jane's powers are incredible, I must say. I really like Aro's powers aswell. I like that he can't see your thoughts until he touches you, but he can see every thought you've had.

Aro's gift is something else. I can't decide whose mind reading is better, Aro's or Edward's..because granted, Edward has the distance & non-touching thing going for him..but Aro's ability to read EVERY thought you've ever had is nucking futs.
They're very Vatican-esque if you stop to think about it. They protect their way of life, NO matter the costs. I think without Aro, Caius would run amok & not give two shits about the laws they helped create.
Honestly, I'm surprised that Carlisle was able to stay with them back in the day for any amount of time.

Ugh. I dislike Caius. There's something far too sinister with him. I don't much care for Felix, either.

I like Sinister. I got a thing for Caius. Not a huge thing, mind you, just a "you-make-the-plot-interesting-&-I-kinda-see-you-triumph-but-not-so-much-that-I'd-be-pleased-if-you-actually-did" kinda thing.
Felix is just kind of there for me. I was hoping that he & Emmett would get into it in Breaking Dawn, however.

I really do like Aro, though. In some ways, I think his power isn't necessarily better than Edward's, but easier to deal with. He has to wait to touch someone before he can see. Edward has to deal with the thoughts on a constant basis. That's enough to drive someone insane in the membrane.

This is true.
I really liked the story about Marcus & St. Marcus day in New Moon. I'm actually thinking of using that as a book report for Kortny & having her compare the true history of Volterra with Stephenie Meyer's version.
These books have made for a great teaching plan, I tell you!

Lol, that's good! Kortny needs reading material.

She does. & I think she'd get into the whole idea of the "bad vampires". She's kinda demented like I am. She likes the Cullens, because, really? How can you not? But when she watched the movie she REALLY got into it when Laurent, James & Victoria was introduced. I think when it gets to the part about the Volturi she's going to be sucked in hardcore.
Because I'm thoroughly addicted at this point, I'd love for Stephenie to make a book on the history of the Volturi.. how the different members came to be apart of them, what events took place for it to happen, and whatever happened to Caius' wife.. (wasn't she the one that died before Breaking Dawn in the index?). That kinda thing.

I'm not sure about Caius' wife, but the book idea is a great one!

Oh! Even better! In that book, you'd get a good amount of history about Carlise!

That would be another huge bonus! I'd like to see how the Volturi was different with the addition of Carlisle and Elezear (sp?). Or how they were different because of the Volturi, etc.
It'd be even cooler if she made it almost like, textbook form. Because I'm a true history nerd like that.

Lol! I wouldn't read it in textbook form. I hated history, ugh. I'd get the movie, lol.

I think it would be hard to do it in storyform. That's a lot of time to cover. Then again, I'd be ALL for a huge book. Maybe it would take me longer than a day to read it!

Or perhaps a whole new line of books? Each book starting at the beginning for Aro, Caius, Carlisle, and Marcus?
